We have an 07 camelot. Its been sitting for about 4 months. The entry step does not come out unless i kick it. I lubed it but it seems like the switch. We open the door and there is a 10 second delay before it comes out. Anyone know where the switch is? Is it the button in the door jam? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

On mine, there are two white round things (one on the door and one on the post) that are the magnetic switches that control the stair..tap on the one on the post and see if that helps..might be a loose connection, bad wire there...also lube steps.

Get a spray can of white grease and lay yourself down so you can spray/lube all the pivots on your steps. It'll work better than new afterwards!! Good luck!!

One thing that I found on mine is a dead spot on the motor.

I had to crawl under and hammer the motor (Gently) with the rubber handle on my Eastwing hammer a few times.

I finally dropped the "Transmission" cover, and re-assembled so the motor stops at a different spot.. it's been working fine now for 3 years.

NOTE: If you do this be very careful.. there is a small bushing that likes to fall out when you drop the cover to the gearbox and if it gets lost you are up the old brown stream without a paddle.

Check hinge side of door on wall, should be a switch for the step there.
