Called Monaco for a price to replace the exhaust tip turn down, $800.00+, didn't hear the exact number, ears quit when they began with $800. Called Veurinks, $600.00+ same ear problem.

This has got to be an $80.00 part at most. It's nothing ore than ~5" exhaust tip.

Anyone have a source for this? I tried some of the truck shops online but they were all to long at 12" and up.

Does it need to be chrome? I bought a aluminized 4" 90° short elbow for ~$30 from a truck parts company in Phx called C. W. Carter Co. (602) 258-3929. Couldn't find a web address. They might have what you need and can probably ship for a decent price.

Camping World carries Stainless Steel Exhaust tips for 49.99 to 64.99 depending on what size you need. I had one on my 08 Holiday Rambler Vacationer and it work fine. Some of the revue's talk about them browning, Mine didn't but I was always cleaning it.

Somebody posted a link to Ryder's website a while back. I've since used them twice with very positive results. Here a link to the page with exhaust tips.

Almost all truck dealers(Kenworth,Pete,International,Volco) will have this in stock. Cost should be $60 to 80. It is very easy to change out I would also buy a new band clamp while you are there, if you don't need it take it back.

I chose to go to the turn down tip rather than straight out the side on my Holiday Rambler DP. I am a cosmetic type of car guy and I think they look cool...My only problem is you notice the black traces of exhaust more easily....But I clean mine all the time anyway. I will put up with a little hassel for looks...weird eh...Our local Cummins dealer put mine on..when I told them it was for cosmetic purposes he just ..shook his head and laughed..

Thx
Ted

Try a truck stop or Chrome shop (Chrome, in trucker lingo, is "Bling for your ride")

common item, depending on the size of the pipe even Pooped (er, pep) boys will have 'em

Mine fell off as Monaco just tack welded them to the pipe. Any unit that has a DPF requires something similar to the original due to EPA BS. I found mine on E bay for under $30.00 and I used a HD truck muffler clamp. Still there after 3 years. Mine is stainless.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It looks like my best option it a truck shop.

The tailpipe is 5 1/8" in outside diameter and comes almost to the edge of the coach. Everything I see online has an OD of 5" so I'm afraid it will be to small to slip on.

Not smart enough about exhaust systems to know if 5" is nominal or actual size.

I assume the tip is to go over the existing tailpipe, of course if it is designed to go inside then maybe the 5" OD is what I need.

Heading to TX in a couple weeks I'll check the truck shops along the way.

sdennislee....Depending on how much of your tip is visible, you can take the 5" tip and cut a slot (1/8") in two spots (about 1" long) on the end that slides onto the old tailpipe. This allows it to expand enough to get it on. Take a block of wood and knock it on gently and then clamp. If you find a good deal on one, you could also take it to a muffler shop and they can expand one end with their pipe bender.

Thanks Don, I think thats a good idea. My tailpipe has several longitudinal cuts about an inch long at the end which should allow it to compress down as the the new one is tapped on.
