I'm not a fan of extended service programs but my WIFE insisted on the getting Star RV warranty when we bought our coach in June. Her rational is that I work too much to have time to mess around with fixing the coach. Also we've had two other motor homes already and it seems that in year 4, everything starts breaking.
She didn't want just the Platinum plan but the DIAMOND plan! I could have bought her a 2 carat diamond with the $6k it cost us.
We also got the tire road hazard extension and that proved beneficial already. We ran over a piece of metal in MO and blew an inside dually. Replacement tire and mounting did not cost us a penny.
With a bunch of coach manufacturers going out of business in the past year, the extended service plan may be the only warranty you're going to get!
