External Propane Tank
Hi guys;
I have a 2000 Diplomat with a 34 gallon belly tank. I'm going to be staying for an indeterminate amount of time and was thinking of getting a 420 pound tank and having propane delivery. It's been quite the hassle dealing with propane companies but the long and short of it seems to be an issue with hooking up a hose from the tank to the unit. One company says you have to have a copper line in a buried steel conduit with a regulator on the tank, and a class B gas fitter, and a permit to do it, and another company says they will supply a hose, drop a tank, and that's all there is to it.
Today I went out and looked at a nearby park and every second unit has a 420 pound tank with a black rubber hose going to the unit. Nothing buried, no copper lines and no permits.
At any rate, I can't get a return phone call from one of the propane companies but I did find a recently re-certified tank for sale that's 3/4 full that I can pick up. So the question is, how do you connect it to the unit? How are you guys doing it?
