Filling the fresh water tank - part 2

I used the idea I got from you guys and timed how long it took to fill a 5 gallon jug. Then timed how long it took to fill my empty fresh water tank using the gravity fill hole. It calculated out to be exactly 40 gallons. I called Monaco who said it is definitely one 80 gallon tank and they had no idea of what else I could try.

So, I am hoping someone can offer one last idea of what to try.

Have you actually laid eyes on the tank to see how large it is and to see whether it's full or not?

I have access to mine through a bay door on the curbside where I could remove a couple of screws from the brackets holding the door closed underneath.

I will try that Richard. All the tanks are enclosed with black hard plastic covers so I need to figure out how to get those off and actually see the tank.

Ditto on the flow meter, it works great for many applications.

Mine has a drain. I would fill completely, then I would drain into a container I knew the gallons, IF I really wanted to know.

I have not gone back to your original thread but how do you know the tank was empty to start with?
