Final Charge Global Extended OAT

All,

If you are entertaining the idea of a coolant flush and you are considering going to a OAT to eliminate the need for SCA monitoring WalMart is the place. WalMart is discontinuing the product line and I picked up 19 gallons at $7.00 each. Go to Walmart.com and search. I did have a issue with the quantity I had to make a few purchases and the website lists a qty of 6ct which is a case but they have a problem with the listing, regardless you can get it for $7.00 a gallon. That is at the very least 1/2 off.......

And you can't drain all the old stuff out. You can flush your cooling system with distilled water but again you won't get all the water out. If your system takes 12 gallons and you only get 10 out then you have 2 gallons of water. You add the 10 gallons of 50/50 and you diluted it with the 2 gallons you couldn't get out. So you end up with about a 60/40 solution rather than the 50/50 you need.

It's $13.97 in Austin and they know nothing about "getting rid of it".

According to Walmart.com, it's $7.00 a gallon at the Boerne store.

I got the undiluted (pure) stuff at O'Reily's Auto. It wasn't cheap, but was the only way to get a known quantity in the RV system.

BTW, I did call the folks that make Final Charge and to test it, you just use any test strip or one of the float gauges... it is testing the freeze point.

Concentrate

Paying a lot for water? Serious. Good luck getting a better deal. I know I need least one concentrate but you can't beat this price or quality.

Concentrate is usually twice the cost of 50/50 so the price per gallon after install is a wash. This is listed by fleet guard as a equivalent to ES compleat OAT. Good luck
