First time checking in

I intended to post this in the Holiday Rambler section. I am not sure if it will post there.

I have a 2001 Holiday Rambler Septor. I wish to mount a tv in the first bay on the passenger side. (immediately behind entry door) I am mounting it to the ceiling. Can someone tell me what is above the ceiling of the 1st bay? Wires? Anything to be cautious about?

There seems to be 6-8 inches of space between the bay ceiling and the coach floor. HR does not offer schematics on line. I called HR/ Monaco and they do not have any schematics to offer.

I would try to drill a large enough hole from the bay to get a mechanics mirror up in there to search around. I would use a hole saw or a deemed to make the hole to minimize the chance for hitting anything. It is unlikely that there is anything between there though.

Glad to have you here in the forum with us. You're gonna like it here.

There are several small digital inspection cameras out there starting as low as $25 they require about a 3/8" hole. You shouldn't have any problems with that. It's cheaper then drilling into an electrical line or worse.

Happy Trails!!!

from WA State!

The one problem I have with inspection cameras is orientation. Trying to figure out where it is that I'm looking at.

I've had that problem too. I spend way too much time looking at something from an odd angle only to realize it's upside down, sideways or otherwise angled wrong.
