Hi everyone. I have searched the archieves for articles that tell how to change out the bulb on the flex map light. I could not find any.I found how to wire them up but not how to change out the bulb.
Perhaps there is no bulb...perhaps an led.. and you have to change the whole flex light..
Can someone help me out. My DW has her light working so she is happy..but not me..

Thx
Ted

Many of them have a plastic lense in front of the blub. If it does you should see a small slot on one side or both sides of the lenses. Place a small flat screwdriver in the slot and gently pry it off.

On mine, there is a small tab that sticks up out of the clear plastic lens cover. Mine comes off if you use a pocket knife to pry that tab up using the lamp body as the pivot point. It is pretty tight, but will snap open. The bulb is then accessable.

Brings to mind.. "How many monacoers does it take to change a light bulb?"

AND, when you figure out how to get the old bulb out and start to install the new one, wash the new one (I use rubbing alcohol) and get ALL the fingerprint oils off before installation. If not, you'll be replacing it again in a few weeks.

I installed those same lights in our Dutch Star. I got them at the Newmar factory in 2004. So far I haven't needed to change a bulb but I downloaded the .pdf for when I do.

Thanks!!
