Fresh Water Auto Fill-no water pressure in coach

2008 Monaco dynasty, started to head out on a 1 week trip and wanted to fill my fresh water tank, I've used the auto-fill before and it worked great. This time it would not work so I did a gravity fill to get on the road. At the end of the day pulled into a RV park, connected the city water to bus, but no water pressure at any faucet or toilet. Turned on the water pump and everything worked OK, but without the pump running no pressure in the coach from the city water hook-up. Also, without an end cap on my city water line when I turn on the 12 volt water pump I get water coming out of my city water hose.......There's a check valve that's supposed to prevent that. To make matters worse, twice while driving all day my black tank somehow would get filled up from my fresh water tank, the water pump switch was left on, but the toilet was not flushed.........The third day traveling the water pump was turned off and the black tank did not get a level. It appears that my fill solenoid valve and or my check valve is stuck.....Not sure what's going on, has anyone had this happen?

There is a one way check valve usually place where the hose comes off the reel to connect to the MH plumbing. If it sticks in the closed you will lose water pressure from the shore. Mine was originally gray plastic about 3-4" long. I replaced it with a more expensive brass one. They are available at most camping supply stores

That grey check valve is junk. Sometimes the problem is the Asco electric valve. You can take it apart without removing from the system. The first time I had no water there was a piece of sand on the diaphragm. Cleaned it and all was well. The next time I simply replaced the valve. I think it was $125.00. Parts are listed for the valve but the kit costs the same as the new valve!

I have a 08 Camelot and had the same problem on my last outing. I have a power hose reel. I pulled almost all of my fresh water hose out and found it had kinked the last time I wound it in. It was twisted/kinked severely. I hooked it up to the city water, pressurized it and wound it in while pressurized to be sure it wasn't kinked again.
Problem solved......
Hope your issue is solved this easily !!
Good Luck,
Greg
