Wife had a iron plugged in, front air on and dryer running. Iron and front air stopped working.

I tried resetting the plug and it did not reset. Dead! I tried turning air fan only on and it did not come on. Tried turning washer dryer on and it did work. Checked circuit breakers on inverter/charger and all is ok. Turned circuit breaker for front air on and off and did not change anything. Rear air works fine.

Turned circuit breaker off where power cord plugs into outlet outside and then back on. Now air works. Gfi plug now works. I called DEMartini RV in Ca., where I bought it new. They helped me do the investigation. They are not sure. Possibly transfer switch.

So what do you think it is? Transfer switch? Circuit breaker on power I plugged in too? Could the iron have an impact? I think it had something to do with it. I am not sure what all is on that leg of power in the coach.

Steve

I assume you are plugged into 50A service? If you are the breaker at the pedestal should be a 2 pole 50A 120/240V circuit breaker. If it is it appears that it didn't totally trip as the breaker should have been totally off but you said you had power to one item that you mentioned. Indicates to me that one side of the breaker is getting weak. You might want to have the park where you are staying change that breaker to stop the problem you're having.

Steve, sounds like one leg of the 50Amp service tripped at the campground power box. You were pulling a boat load of amps on that leg. Dose not sound like a problem to me. Just trying to use to much power. Lot of times you may not notice that one of the two 50 amp breakers are tripped. But when you pushed them down and then back up, the breaker reset. Hope this helps you out.

Steve,
I agree that your reset of the CG power-post breaker seems to be what was needed in this case.

To prepare you for a "future" breaker-trip:
If not currently familiar with your Inverter/Charger, it too has circuit breakers on it. Example of a possible breaker trip: DW has the iron on and the crock-pot is cooking in the kitchen? This will overload one of the Inverter's breakers (probably the 15A breaker). Suggest finding this breaker today so that when it does trip, you'll know where to find it. Hint that it is tripped? The TV will stop working too.

Thanks for the replies. I did find the breakers on the inverter a long time ago. It started with a space heater and other things going. So Iam always looking out for what she has going.

Thanks again.
