We shave 3-15,000 btu Dometic air conditioners on our 2009 Camelot. After running for a while the front unit will trip its circuit breaker in the main panel. I reset it and it runs again for another 15-30 minutes. Is there a condenser or something which I've read about that needs to be replaced? If so where can I purchase one?
Also, can anyone tell me who manufactures the part of the smart whee
l with the cruise control buttons and how to get c ontact of them. Thanks in advance

Bench,

Mine does the same thing occasionally. I think it's because the breaker is a double, two switched in the space normally used for a single. If yours is a double for that unit and is between others it could be overheating, causing it to trip. Breakers trip based on the heat created by current flow and if heat is being created in excess of the value of the breaker it'll pop. I'd replace the breaker, the more times it is tripped the lower the amp value it'll hold.

You said the air conditioner runs between 15 and 30 minutes, does the fuse blow when it restarts on cycle?

Yes, when does the breaker trip and also you need to check the running amps fro the unit sna see how that compares to the amp rating on the nameplate.

make sure for some odd reason your heat strip(if you have them) is not powering up after a bit of use thus causing a high amp draw....my board in the frt ac for the 4 button T stat had a problem creating heat to run with AC..then breaker would pop
