Front Door Adjustments
I have reviewed many posts in this matter but still have one area in question. Is there a way to adjust the release point on the opening of the handle. I find I must pull very hard and almost to the end of travel to get the door to release. I also have times that it will not release unless I push on the door. Any hints on which adjustment will improve the operation?

I am following this as I have the same issue. Depends on how I park and level it is better or worse. I can only think of getting a new one, I had mine out and saw no obvious adjustment.

Kin g Richard, cte202 Come to Quartzsite gathering and we will show you how to fix your doors, I have fixed 67 of them with very good results. The number does not count the 10 times I have done ours testing.

You need to shorten BOTH rods, this will reduce the distance that the handle has to move before unlatching, just make sure the upper and lower are in sync

good info, can you identify the washer type item #2 in the diagram of the latch? It looks like a washer, but is there something special about it? I do not have those on the latches and suspect that is one of several problems. Any special thickness or material?

Also watch for the screen door latch. The little plastic device attached to the main door that holds the screen door latch back out of the way when they are tied together.

Drifter: We are going to be at Quartzsite just not sure if we'll be joining the Monaco group or attending the Beaver rally on other side of the road but I would love to have you take a look at my door or instruct me while I do it. Might try to come over to the Monaco group site for a few days and then go across the road to rally. Just curious when you are going to be in Quartzsite?

Drifter I'll be there I had to add a modified screen door and adjust my current. It works ok but welcome the expertise you have. I should be there around the 23 or 24. Maybe sooner, Harry (aka Happycarz) going to help with a few things on my list. Trying to get there sooner, Mike Hughs wants to retrofit or design the watts link for our Camelot. Hope to see you there.
