Front Duo-Therm A/C won't work...sometimes

We bought our 2006 HR Endeavor 2 months ago and are on our first major trip with it. We've been on the road for 5 days and are discovering a bunch of small problems mainly with appliances. For the last 2 days, the front A/C was not cooling but then it started working again last night until I stopped it to watch TV. It won't restart this morning. The fan works fine when not on AUTO. The forecast for the next week is for temperature in the 80 degrees F and I don't thing the back unit will suffice to cool the whole coach. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong and/or recommending the name of someone who could fix it. We're in Venice, FL for the next 2 weeks and going to Pompano Beach, FL for the following 2 weeks.

Luc,
I'm not sure our experience parallels yours, but when we had intermittent differences between our front and rear air conditioning it was due to differences in the settings of the two thermostats. (In our case it was the rear air conditioner that would start, run for a couple of minutes then shut off -- in 104 temps in Arizona.)

The major suggestion that I got was to make sure that both the front and rear thermostats are set to exactly the same configuration. You can have separate temps, but all the other settings must match. I found differences, made them both the same and everything has worked just fine since.

Hopefully, your situation is similar and can be fixed just as easily.
Bob

Does it try to restart when you turn it on??? Can you hear it trying to start and is it kicking out???

You might try resetting your thermostat. Here is a link to a troubleshooting guide. http://bryantrv.com/docs2/temp/ccc5-2.pdf

Common problem is the starting capacitor may be out, you can replace fairly easily/cheaply. These are mounted up under the AC shroud on the roof. Here is a link to what one looks like (it may not be the right one for your unit)

Here is a website for finding parts for Duotherm AC units

If you put in your SN it will bring up a parts list

Front Duo-Therm A/C won't work...sometimes

Thank you all. Your advice and information you've provided will be very useful if it conks out, again. After I wrote my post, it started working again and both are now on
