Arrived at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument on Monday after spending several months at the Imperial Dam and Quartzsite La Posa North LTVA's.

After getting set up, I happened to look at the front generator cover, which definitely appeared to be drooping rather badly. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that four of the six self tapping hex screws Monaco uses to attach the generator cover support frame to the generator had sheared, leaving the cover hanging by the proverbial thread. Got it temporarily repaired with several extra screws I had previously found in the coach that Monaco left laying around as they built it, knew they would be good for something.

So just a heads up to any of you who travel rough roads that an inspection might be a good thing. I could just visualize my cover falling off and being dragged down the road by the release cables. Now that would have been a real thrill.

Sorry we didn't make it down to La Posa South to the IRV2 gathering, instead hanging out with the RVAmerica bunch. They go to Puerto Penasco the week after the Big Show which is more of an inducement to us than some salmon. Sorry Monaco Mama, just couldn't resist that one.

Thanks for sharing some great information here and something that we should all check after driving rough roads... (AKA - California Highways )

LOL...BaldOldBob You didn't have to spend the week with us... all you needed to do was drive less than 3 miles away in your toad to enjoy the salmon! All is good here... I just hope you have enjoyed the SW as much as we did!
Safe Travels!
