Front TV & cabinet

Tired of hitting my head, need recommendations to a place that can solve the problem.

On our 2003 Windsor I removed the original tv and removed the center cabinet. I then marked and cut 6 inches off the TOP then replaced it. You can see a bit of the groove in the ceiling material but not so it's unbearably. Wha la no more head ringing on the cabinet.😁
