Have 2004 Holiday Rambler Neptune and need a fuel gauge sending unit (in fuel tank). Would anyone know where to find one other than at a Holiday Rambler dealer? I need to know price and availability. Thanks for the previous info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Frank.

Here you go:

Centroid Products
2104 Hibiscus Dr.
Edgewater, FL 32141
386-423-3574
http://www.centroidproducts.com/

They DO NOT provide tech support by phone, only by email.

Why do you think you need a new sender?

the koesters......They are adjustable if that's your issue. I adjusted mine to be more accurate when new and then about two years ago it went crazy on a trip and the settings were off. I readjusted again and it has been fine since.

Koesters, I was talking to my local O'Rileys manager the other day and I mentioned that I just replaced my fuel sending unit in my tank and he said if I ever needed anything like that in the future to check with him first. He said he has several ways to find the part number and thought he could give me the best price.

On your coach the sending unit was manufactured by Centroid. They are extemely helpful in helping you determine your concerns. The sending unit I believe in your coach is a 18.25 " Non float type ,pure electronic . It has a tube with in a tube and the fuel acts as a conductor between the two two tubes as sends proper current to the guage.

If you contact centroid they will send you a flow chart to determine your problem and if you send back to them your findings they will tell you what to do. Common problem is algae in the fuel if it is a diesel coach.

I had to purchase a new sending unit cost appox $80.00. Centroid would not sell me a new one till I went thru all the test. Exchanged at least 6 E-mails. They WILL not talk to you on the phone only by E-mail but if you call they will give the E-mail to use. They also helped me to make the required adjustments on the new sending unit so the gauge would read properly.

Can anyone tell me who manufactured the sending unit for my 1997 HR Imperial 40WDS? It isn't working but I haven't had time to check it out.

Are you sure it is the sending unit,is the guage reading full all the time or empty or does not read correctly?May be it is not the sending unit
If you call Monaco Parts give them the coach # they should tell you who made the unit.877-332-9239 Or call Centroid after you remove the old one they make several different tyes and may be able to match up to yours.

I was able to verify that I had a bad in tank fuel sending unit by grounding out the sensor. When grounded, the gauge went to full and all of my warning lights went off. Robert T, is correct, if you call Monaco Parts and give them the last six digits of your VIN, they can point you in the right direction. They have worked with me on several occasions.

I was able to find the part I needed at a US dealer for a reasonable price ($130.00) and shipped to a UPS depot near our campground. I installed this part myself (very easy) and my fuel gauge problem is resolved.

I am a mechanic by trade but not an expert when it comes to RVs.

Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge about this issue. Hope I can return the favor some day!

Sincerely,

Frank
