Fuel Tank Sending Unit

In the center bay of my Cayman there is a access portal that appears to be the fuel tank sending unit. Am I correct in this assumption and can the sending unit be removed through this portal? If so this will be terrific as my fuel gauge is on the fritz. Jake

I have an 07 neptune and I do not have an access portal in my bay (that I know of). I cut an access in the plastic on the drivers side storage bay behind the tank. The access was perfect to get to the tank fittings and gauge sending unit. I needed access to install a booster pump in the fuel line.
Sorry I can't help you further.

The bay with the fuel access door is hinged at the top. It has a screwed in clip on the bottom so you can release it. I adjusted my fuel sending unit from this access. Good luck.
