Fuel Usage in Onan 7.5 Generator

Just a little bit of information that could be helpful. Recently I was at a show at the NRG Center in Houston, TX. We ran the generator for 126 hours in close to 100 degree heat. Fueled up in Brookshire, drove to NRG, then returned to Brookshire to fill up the tank just to determine how much fuel was used. We ran both AC's during the day, only one after 9PM, and we used a total of 60 gallons of fuel. From Brookshire to NRG is approximately 82 miles round trip. I figure that is less than 1/2 gallon an hour.

It depends on how many AC units are on and what temps the thermostat is set on but that 1/2 gallon per hour is about what the say at 50% load.

fuel usage

I've read somewhere that ONAN says fuel usage is .44 gallons per hour a 1/2 load and .8 at full load. But that is all subjective because we can't continuously monitor the load and condition and fuel quality are also factors. I just figure a gallon an hour and run both airs regardless.......
