Can someone give me a little education on how this system exactly works. I would also like to know what the steps are to change this filter/water separator. Thanks.

P.S. I have this on my coach.

Yours looks a little different than mine. Mine has a metal bowl on the bottom of the filter element with a electrical plug for the water sensor and a 1/4" tubing connection for water purging. The control panel has two buttons and lights. With the ignition key "on" if you push the purge button the filter system go thru a purge cycle and pump fuel thru the filters to purge air. I do this twice when changing filters and have no problems when restarting the engine.

Andy M, can you tell us more about your motorhome? (year, model, etc) It's not included in your profile or your signature. Thanks!

Andy M..I am going to link this down to the Cummins Forum. You might get a better response from the "iRV2 Tech Heads"

Good Luck!

Andy

Your unit is model 90s1230c

The replacment filter 200200 is no longer available. Winn/Racor has an upgrade kit number RK12963 is available from www.rvchassisparts.com
Part number is 0340-hh3-001($69)
It has an upgraded water sensor and a larger capacity metal bowl. After upgrade the new filter will be number S3230P
The see thru pre-filter is number 300200, it is however washable. If you need service instructions you can e-mail me at patsmith@dunnhardware.com and I can fax a copy.

Pat

P.S it's been over 3 years since the upgrade so I would do it right a way, it takes about 10 min.
