fuse location for Kwickee step

Hi Ho: Have been trying to help a 2000 Monaco Dynasty owner here at the park in Branson MO. We found a broken wire to the magnetic switch in the door, but still have no power to the switch that turns the step on/off.

Does anyone know where the fuse is located? We have tried the fuse panel at the front driver side but found only the step override fuse not the power to the step itself.

Help, Dirk Ostermiller

Hi Ho: I just talked with the Monaco tech rep. He suggests that there is a 5 amp inline fuse leading to the switch that turns the step on/off. It should be in the armrest or somewhere in the line leading back to the mini thermal breaker in the rear panel on the passenger side.

Does anyone know where this 5 amp switch is located?

Thanks, Dirk

In my '99 Windsor, there is the switch for on-off of the step just as you enter the coach, on the left. I did find a blown fuse after removing the cupholder next to the co-pilot and using a flashlight for illumination. It is a little tight to get in there for a big arm, but it's manageable. I hope this helps.

Hi Ho: Thanks for the reply. That 5 amp fuse was blown, but we found two other problems: a broken ground wire on the door sensor and a loose wire on the switch. (That may have come about in changing the fuse).

However, alls well that ends well....everything works now.

Thanks again for the reply. Dirk
