Monaco still installs a petcock on the radiator. For almost as long as I have had my coach I had heard (including from Monaco Tech Support) that the later model coachs no longer have a petcock to drain the radiator or to take a coolant sample. Well, proof positive here it is.

It is located on the road side of the radiator bottom and faces forward. It is difficult to see because of metal panels around it tucked between the panels. The picture was taken level with the petcock just forward of it. Easy to see that way but difficult to see from underneath.
I can't take credit for the sleuthing, someone else from another board emailed me with the location and I finally found it and took the picture. He also told me there is also a coolant filter but I have not found it yet.
I know, gee whiz.

William,
That is what I have been told but I was also told there was not a petcock as well.

Sixpack98,
Your motorhome is newer and probably has the Cummins 400 ISL engine where as ours has the 330 ISC but I can tell you that I searched all over the rear of the motorhome looking for that coolant filter and finally called Monaco Tech after I couldn't find it. Believe me I got in such contortions up in the engine from underneath looking for it that a couple of times I thought I wasn't going to get out.
Anyway they informed me that they quit putting the filters on the 04's and up eventhough my owners manual had the part number for the filter listed and described changeing it as routine maintenance.
I would call Monaco tech and confirm on your model just to make sure eventhough they were wrong on the petcock.
