I have to store my 2000 Monaco for 5 weeks in an area that does not have electrical power. Should I: Turn off battery disconnects? Or.... set Auto Gen to automatically charge up my batteries when they reach 50% of charge?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Pat

5 weeks in non freezing weather shouldn't bee a problem. I'd just hit the disconnects and leave her.

I agree, leave mine with batteries off for a month at a time and sometimes two month if I can't get to it for the gen monthly in freezing winter weather so warmer should be no problem.

Do you have a solar panel? I would just disconnect.

If I had a solar panel I wouldn't be worried. I'll try it with the disconnect this time. I just found out that I'll need to do the auto gen start this winter. I'll have to store it between Oct 15th thru Jan 15th.

But, as suggested, I may also look into a solar panel to keep them at peak.

thanks for all your suggestions.

I agree with what's said above, except I would go back after a week just to make sure everything is OK, especially if this is the first time it's been stored for this long.
