I Live In Minnesota & Unfortunatly am not able to leave for Nice com fortable weather during winter, I would like to Start Generator once a month But Being In Minnesota temps get & stay below Zero for long periods of time, My question do I want to add Block Heater to Gen that I can keep plugged in?. I understand Gennys have Glow Plugs but I hate how it starts (IF IT WILL START AT ALL).

Have not use one but RV Generator Engine Block Heater | Wolverine Engine Heaters is a surface contact unit.
But it is a dry cold, would almost trade for the wet cold we get here, but you would still have to keep the mosquitoes.

But hills and snow and you never know what the weather will bring. It was so much easier in Baudette when I could look out and say it would rain in 1 hour.
