Generator start switch

I recently replaced the generator start/stop switch on the center dash of my 2004 HR Endeavor. It had seized up and wouldn't move. When I took it apart the springs and contacts fell out. I suspected that this was the reason why it was not working. I installed the new switch it works fine mechanical but still will not start the generator. I suspect the old switch shorted out and melted a fuse. I've looked all over trying to find the fuse. But I have found none! Any hints on where it is located would be appreciated

Does GEN crank/start from the onboard GEN START switch on the GEN itself? Check for fuses near that switch. One may feed fuel pump, one may feed the circuit board?

There isn't a fuse in the remote switch wiring as far as I know.

REMOTE START and GEN Status (RUN Light?) wiring usually has a multi-wire PLUG near the GEN Start SWITCH/circuit board; start there and check for corrosion/ bad connections/ unplugged?
