Hi All, I recently decided to reseal the vents and the wire entrance points on the roof of my 2001 Dynasty. I thought that I read somewhere that Geocel2300 was the product that Monaco originally used. I bought a few tubes and then have been trying to find where I read about it to verify it is the correct product they make about 50 different ones. I can return this product if it is wrong.
This is a Tripolymer Sealant that can be painted, there is no Silicone content I bought the clear version.
Any thoughts about this?? I have no leaks but I was planning to check the roof soon.
Thanks for any help
Robert

That is a great caulk for sealing around windows, where the roof joins the sidewall, the front and rear caps, etc. It is not a self leveling type caulk and generally stays where you put it. You may need a different type if you want it to spread out on the roof around the object you are sealing.

RV Proflex is also made by Geocel but the 2300 is a better product. Dycor makes a self-leveling caulk is you need it to spread out.

I have been using Solar Seal Rain gutter sealer for the last 5 years for sealing Gutters and the top of the Rv and anything else you can think of. It stays plyable and does not harden or crack even in direct sunlight. The Gutter seal works the best but it is silver in color. Solar seal also comes in colors to match pretty much anything.

oops I hit the wrong button and posted before I was done.

Anyway Geocell is another very good product. The solar seal gutter seal is a self leveling sealer and the regular colored solar seal is not self leveling. I would recommend either brand as I have used them all in large quantities at my shop.

Thanks for all the responses! I am going to go with both the Geocel 2300 and the Dycor C-10. That should work for all areas.

Barrier2...the brand name is actually Dyco. It is NOT the same as the Dicor products.
Here is a photo of the tube. (SacsTC has used it and states it works extremely well) It costs about $6.60 a tube if you are a wise shopper...

Thanks Monaco Mama that is what I bought. Amazon $6.63 per tube. Shipping is the killer. They have it locally but about $5 more plus the gas and hassle. I ended up paying $37. for 4 tubes. I was able to get the Geocel 2300 for $6.50 from a local supplier.
I threw in the "r" to test you!
