2005 Executive power awnings on the drivers side slide,ds bedroom and ps bedroom are deploying on their own while generator running with engine on or off and will not always return with the remote.Sometimes the driver side will deploy while the ps retracts. The door and main patio awning do not appear to be affected, although I have been reluctant to extend them at this point . I also noticed that the inverter/charger is turning off resulting in no ac power. The Gerard awnings are ac powered and the ps side bedroom awning actually extended at one point with the gen off..Any ideas ...Thanks Tom

Did they ever work right? The first power awning I had installed was wired wrong and would deploy at strange times.

Turns out the dealer had never installed any of them before and had a heck of a time wiring the wind sensor. I finally just turned off the wind sensor permanently.
The second power awning I had put on another RV I didn't get the wind sensor. Cured that problem!
However this time they tapped into a cabinet light for 12 volts. You can't do that as the line going there wasn't hefty enough to provide the necessary power to retract the awning. After rewiring to get sufficient power my awning works great.

Last summer our TV in the coach started turning off and on at various times like it was possessed. We traced it to our neighbors remote control for his Panasonic 70" TV he had just purchased. Our TV is a Samsung.

So I would try to disable the remote receiver for the awnings and see if this problem clears up.

Arch, thanks for the reply and yes all awnings worked properly until about a weekago. I now suspect a problem with the inverter /charger causing an interuption of 120V power which then somehow triggers the awning event. It could also have something to do with the ignition cut out switch which I cant find.According to the schematic it is located in the cabinet behind the TV but it is not. Thanks again Tom

In 2004 Signature, Executive and Navigator that ignition cutout box was located directly above the drivers head against the wall behind a removable panel just forward of the inverter remote control. It was kind of a secret panel that does not look like it can be removed but you you grab the raised trim it would pull out and off. The ignition cutout was the same box used for both the TV and the awnings.

I found it while looking for something else. Hopefully it is just a loose connection causing your problems
