I changed the wind sensor last night and now the awning won't extend.
Is there some sort of reset that needs to be done on the control unit. The awning worked well before I changed the damaged sensor.
This is on a 2007 Dynasty

Thanks

I changed the sensor on mine recently. No reset needed to be done; I just connected the new wiring and all worked OK. One thing to try is to disconnect the sensor and see if the problem is still there. Also have you checked for power at the controller?

I don''t think there's a difference from 03 to 07 but maybe there is. Have you contacted Girard? I've found their support to be very good.

If it is like mine you need two power sources. 110V for the motor itself and 12V for the controls. Did you shut off or trip a breaker or blow a fuse while working on it. The 110V may also be powered from a GFCI outlet. Good luck and please post the cure for all our benefit.
