Girard Awnings

After reading for 2+ years, 1st post hope it's correct! I/WE have a 2006 Signature with Girard awnings and want to replace the topper slide awnings, as stitching has started to come out. Has any body taken their coach to a service center in California and had good luck with replacement and service? The knowledge I have gathered with 40% retention in the last 2 years from this form has been priceless. Thanks to all Monaco owners that post problems & solutions.

A few years back, I had a motorhome that the stitching coming apart on the Girard Awnings also. The material was still in good shape, so I had the awning material removed and took them to an upholstery shop and had him re-stitch the material, then reinstalled.
He did a good job and they were still working fine when I sold the coach.
I saved some bucks by doing this.

Good point as years ago I had a classic pop up camper's stitching redone at a large tarp/tent/awning company here in the DFW area... even waterproofed the stitching for me !
