Gonna be a Monaco Dynasty owner!!
Been looking (on and off, mostly off) for 3-4 years for an RV that would be a wonderful 1st "big time RV".
Saw / drove / put a deposit down today on an 1996 Monaco Dynasty motorhome. This rig is nice!!
Considering it is 19 model years old, it is in VERY NICE shape. Some clear coat flaking on roof and nose or rig but in good shape.
REALLY EXCITED to pick it up on Monday (probably won't sleep until then). Was looking for a Country Coach (Intrigue or Magna) but this is equivalent across the board as far as I can tell.
Really looking forward to sharing (and being the beneficiary of) the knowledge of this rig and experiences in general.
THANKS IN ADVANCE for all that participate and share!

Congrats on your rig. Monaco makes a fine coach.

I bought my 2002 Windsor in 2008. Best decision I ever made. Have really enjoyed the coach, although it is a step below the Dynasty I couldn't be happier.
Besides the IRV2 forum I belong to the Yahoo Monacoers group, both are a great resource. The Monacoers group has an extensive parts book with alternate sourcing for most components plus an extensive file system of repair manuals and or write-ups.

We have a 1998 Dynasty, absolutely love it. It has all the right equipment for what we need and want. We were looking for our third MH, when we found this one. Quality at the right price, a little older, but new to us. Good luck on your new coach, and happy traveling.

Some pics of the 'new' rig
Well - we brought it home on Monday. Bummer part was that it was located more than 3 hours from where we live and we couldn't get anyone to drive up with us so we could both drive back in the MH. DW had to follow me back and we couldn't talk about thoughts / plans / anticipations. (Why are some of you saying "and that's a BAD thing??")
Anyway - we bought it. It is parked at the house (unfortunately, because of a steep driveway, we can't get it TO the house. It's parked in the street below). It is Wednesday before Easter and we think we're going to take a quick overnight trip leaving Saturday morning and returning Sunday.
Thanks for looking.

How much did you give? I've gone from wanting a Crown Royale in a really bad way to now leaning more toward a Dynasty. They're certainly a lot easier to find.
Did you pay cash or were you able to finance? Seems it's tough to get a loan on anything older than 2005...

Mike from Texas,
I bought a Monaco Dynasty last year and it is a 1995 Model. The coaches were very well built then by Monaco. I have had some problems as with any older Coaches, but you hopefully will be very happy overall. If you have the 8.3 Cummins Mechanical they are bullet prof. If it every has a problem with the Winn Fuel System, I have information to change it over, since no parts are available for it. They tend to go out after years of service due to the primer pump inside them.
Happy RVing.
