Grab handle lettering

While "grab handles" are a recent subject, let me ask....... How would one "refill" the black lettering? The engraved letters are still there but the black goo is gone.

H. Miller......Take some black paint, like Rustoleum in a can, use a small artist brush and paint in the letters. Don't worry too much about slopping outside the lines. When you're done, use a small amount of paint thinner on a rag or maybe even a small sponge and wipe down the handle, cleaning off the excess and leaving the paint in the lettering.
