You're not allowed to guess. Chains are required south of here on I-5 and also over the pass. May be awhile before we can get out. When we do we'll probably be in a rush to get to the grandkids. HAve a great Christmas.

ewww - not sure where you are, but there is white stuff all over the ground, and it doesn't look like sand! I would advise getting out of there as soon as possible. I am allergic to that stuff, and even had a mild reaction looking at that picture.

heh - and my A/C just kicked on while I was typing this....

Get out of there soon, and have a safe and wonderful trip.

That looks like the view out MM's front window at her home away from home away from home. I bet there is no waiting to get in.

Barely made it out of Harrisburg Friday afternoon when they lifted the chain requirement on I-5 and the Siskiyous. Drove 8 hours to Redding and we are now in Chowchilla CA at The Lakes RV campground (nice-see photo). I think we left the NW just in time--they are getting clobbered.

The Lakes

Flyer:
I have stayed at the Lakes RV Park...on my way back to Arizona from visiting my son, and of course MM up in Oregon...it is a nice park!!! No doubt the Siskyou's can be tough trip...but going South is a lot calmer than coming North down into Ashland after a big storm and icy roads!!

Flyer - We were probably sharing the road. We picked our coach up at Oregon Motorcoach Center and left as quickly as possible around noon on Friday. We, too, made it as far as Redding Friday night. Came down I-5 and over I-80 on Saturday in sunshine. Are now tucked up snuggly at home in cold and rainy central Nevada.
