Good afternoon,
Thought I would try posting in my brand specific forum as I'm not getting any replies in the campground forum.
I'm wondering if any Monaco/Holiday Rambler owners have ever camped in Yosemite with their 38ft. or longer motorhome.
Planning a trip out West in Sept. and wanting to know if its realistic to try and stay in the park.
I did see some pictures of the campgrounds with what appeared to be large motorhomes in them but I believe the size limitations for the park are 35ft. I know you can fudge a lot of places so thats why I'm inquiring if any of you have camped there.
Thanks for any replies.

Yes we have (37'). Yosemite can accomodate 45' but probably only one or two spaces. I have personally seen a 45 footer but it sure seemed like it was squeezed in. I would not just show up. Reservations are highly recommended in Yosemite, even weekdays after school starts.

Letsgoagain: Personally, I usually camp outside the park because of better facilities. But, here is a link to the "official" camping site for Yosemite. If you follow the link to the individual campgrounds, you will find a notation on the maximum length RV that can be accomodated at that campground.

We camp there every year at Thanksgiving. I have a 36' DP (37') and it fits fine. We camp in Upper Pines. I would say that 25% of the sights would hold your coach. We stay with six adults, only 2 showering in the coach, from Wednesday thru Sunday without any need to add water or dump (100 water, 60 grey, 40 blk). We use 12v power all day and our inverter at night for TV. I usually start the generator in the morning for about an hour (we use a lot of power for the heater during Thanksgiving time).
