Need some help please: As some may have guessed with my other two questions I'm a new owner to Monaco though I've owned other Class A's. My question --- (I've got a 2004 Monaco Cayman) When you switch the headlights from low beam to high beam should all 4 headlight come one or does Monaco have it where only the inner 2 lights come on for high beam? This is what mine does and it seems to me all 4 headlights should come one when you switch to high beam.

Many thanks for any help or advice.

Larry

lYou can buy a relay kit from Advance or NAPA that will convert to a 4 headlight on bright system. Some manuf. went with 4 bright and some went with 2.

I can not answer your question but you can, Here is how.

There are three different systems used on vehicles in the US

"Two lamp" (one pair) systems, each lamp has 3 wires going to it Both high and low beams are in the same bulb.

4 lamp (2 pair) systems come in two flavors.

Look at the back side of the headlight, if there are two wires to each socket, like on some cars (GM uses this system) then one pair is HIGH beam and the other pair is LOW beam.

If one pair has 3 wires, than both pairs are, I think, low beams (May have that backwards)

Now here it gets confusing.. GM's Daytime running light system applies half power to both HIGH and LOW beams.
