Hi All, We are headed out West in the beginning of August and we are in need of 6 tires. Looking for Bridgestone model 280 series 295/75 R22.5 load range H Tires. We will be heading thru Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa. Would like to get them at a Dealer that someone has had good experience with and able to install them on our 36' Dynasty. We have kind of settled on Bridgestone but would be open to others although not Michelin or Goodyear, they just seem to cost too much.
thanks in advance
Robert

GCR Tire has a lot of locations and are owned by Bridgestone. I found them to have the best pricing when I bought mine. If you have room in your wheel wells for 295/80 it would give you a better ride. The Bridgestone in that size is R250.

Bridgestone R250 tires are a load range G only tire. Bridgestone R280 tires are not stocked tires at GCR. (per the dealer I spoke with yesterday) Bridgestone 295 75 22.5 are the same as michelin 275 80 22.5 xze

So if you want a load range H tire call a dealer ahead of your route and see how long it takes to get them in. Don't forget to tell them you want all tires to have the same date code, and that code shouldn't be very old.

When Spartan Chassis puts a size & type of tire on its chassis, I've found they will sell it to you & install it at a price that is exceptional. If you're running up near the Michigan border, they're only 60 miles up I-69. Call Chris McCord and find out: 517-543-6400.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the reply. It was originally a toss up between the 280 and 250 series. The problem is that my Dynasty came with the 75 size and has a diameter of 40.3" the 280 comes in that size the 250 is 80 series is 41.6" Diameter. I think I will need a reset of the odometer/speedometer, a trip to some Dealer which I never look forward to.
Since my 2001 is 36' long and relatively lightweight I can still run lower pressure in the 280 series and have plenty of reserve which should transfer to a better ride. It all depends upon which I can get at a better price and newer build date.
I have been told that I can install the 80 series with no problem the next year Monaco went with that size.
Sad thing for us is we were all set to buy these in Iowa last March but we had some problems with the Norcold recall and had to return earlier then planned, the price has gone up I have heard around 10%

Agreed.. I signup and the pricing is great. I was joking with the sales person and told him if he had a better price I would take it. He said he didn't so I had them start the install. When it came to time to pay he told me he would be right back.. he went to talk to the owner. Ended up that they gave me the motor home dealer price which was $25 each less than the Monaco deal. That tells me the Monaco deal is very good if it is only $25 per tire less than motor home dealers buy them. They sure do ride good!
