Help! On the road inverter problems
Have been on the road for two weeks of an eight week vacation. Boondocking and staying at cg, staying at relatives house and now I have no power showing at the remote control panel which is under the smart ems panel. Ems reads power coming in from shore and gen and amps being used. The remote control panel doesn't read anything, will not charge the house batteries or invert when I need the 12 volts inverted.
The lights on the inverter is blinking and I can hear it humming (doesn't know the words). Sure need help now, arriving in West Yellowstone tomorrow (Sunday) morning.

Help! On the road inverter problems
Wow, thanks for the quick response. It's a 2005 diplomat and the inverter is a Magnum ME2012 2000 watt.

I suggest you give Magnum Energy tech support a call. They are very helpful and will help you step through the diagnosis of your problem.
Good luck.

Check the reset button and fuse on the inverter. Then check other fuses / check your manual out.

Your Remote is at the end of a RJ-11 type phone cable. Magnum calls that their Network. The Remote receives all its information and power over that phone cable from the Inverter. The first thing I would try is to turn off the small slide switch on the front of the Inverter and then turn it back on. That will send the Inverter through a reset and might get you going again.
If that does not work then do as Roy says and give Magnum a call. Use a cell phone and be at the coach. They will want you to perform certain tests.
Good luck,
Bob

Hold down the reset button for 10-15 seconds on the magnum invertor. The green light will turn off and come back on when reset is complete. To reset remote control panel unplug phone connectors from control board, wait a few seconds and reinstall. Make sure the fuse buttons on the Magnum are pushed in. If this does not fix things you have other issues.
