Lar - I feel for you, pal. I know all to well how it is to head out on the road, only to find the frig won't cooperate.
Took us 3 times leaving from Alliance Coach (old Wildwood Monaco facility in FL) and a return trip the next day or so each time, before it was agreed the frig was DOA.
Each time, we'd get maybe 100 miles or maybe 300 miles, before I'd turn around and call them with the status. Fortunately, I was logging temp measurements every hour, so we had plenty of backup info to prove our case. They worked with us each time, and finally got NotSoCold to cough up a new frig. However, the 4th frig was was on our 'dime', and I opted for a residential.
Best of luck to you!

If you have a gas furnace underneath, you may or may not be able to lower the floor enough; I think it was '05 when Monaco made the coaches a bit taller.

I remember reading that when searching threads so I am fairly certain it for sure will not fit. It's doing ok so far. I don't wanna talk it up too good though...lol. Stopped over in Winslow, AZ Wal-Mart (real nice place) and it's 30 in the bottom and 7 in the top. Since there is no humidity here I just reset the box every night to avoid the defrost and forgot to turn it up to 7.
Headed to Bakersfield, CA today for one more night/layover before San Fran. I thought this drive would be bad but over the last 13 years all I do is drive for 10 hours at work every day so it's been relatively easy. I could drive 16 hours everyday if the wife would let me...lol

Thanks. When we first bought this thing I read where lots of the Monaco's came with two furnaces so I thought if I had to delete/remove one then I could get by with just one but after some reading my unit (38 PBDD) only came with one. I feel lucky that it's even working so I am not complaining.

Replace the recall black box
Just had the same problem on 2003 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 2 days ago while in an RV Park in Las Vegas. No power to fridge. Replaced the recall black box and fridge came on and works great again. The part was $150 plus Mobile Mechanic labor(not so cheap)

We are headed to Vegas this Friday from Sequoia National Forrest....small world. Yeah, when you have to rely on one of those guys it's never cheap but worth it if it's an item you can't live without.
