Need some help figuring out how to access what I think is the centroid (sending) unit. The panel has 3 (screws) that have a hole in center of each. If this is what I'm looking for, how do I remove these. I have a 2006 Monaco Diplomat PDQ & this is on the driver's side. Also, where do you buy the dielectric grease. Thanks

Karen here is the company information and their web site. They ONLY do tech support by email:

Centroid Products
2104 Hibiscus Dr.
Edgewater, FL 32141
386-423-3574
http://www.centroidproducts.com/

It is also possible your sender was made by Isspro:

ISSPRO
2515 NE Riverside Way
Portland, Oregon 97211
888-447-7776
http://www.isspro.com/categories.php

Of the two pictures below, the first is Centroid and the second Isspro.

You can get dielectric grease at most auto parts stores.

Thanks for all the info. We have rivets that hold the panel we need to remove, so will have to take care of that first. Fun, fun!

I think you can just remove the screws at the bottom of the panel and it will swing up and allow access to the tank.

Yes, just remove the metal flat bar(s) on the bottom of the door. That will allow the door to swing on its hinges. That is what the rivits are holding in place. DO NOT REMOVE THEM. After you have made your repairs you can add a latch/hasp to the flat bar and that will give you access later. Also you can do the other panels the same way. Hope this helps.

Karen,
Send Collins down to Radio Shack for your grease.

The screws you are describing sound like "robertson" square-headed screws....very commonly used on our Monaco products. Most multi-purpose tool kits (screwdriver and nut-driver sets) have this bit in addition to Torx and Allen drivers. You can get definitions of these tools at Wikipedia.

Thanks, I actually double posted by mistake. Found out there are screws under the bottom holding it in place. It's actually rivets on the top of the panel. We did find the dielectric.

Karen, hope DH was able to remove the screws, but if they want come out he can just pop the heads off with a chisel or old screw drive blade. Then just drill two new holes and install new screws. Hope this helps.

That's pretty much what he said he was going to do. He's been working on other projects, but that will probably be next. Thanks everyone for all your help & suggestions. I love these forums!
