The compressor has a "Klixon" temperature sensor on the side of the compressor to protect it from over heating. Over heating can be caused by low refrigerant, plugged(dirty) condenser coils or low voltage (causes the compressor to draw excessive amps and overheat). The "Klixon" can get weak and cause the problem you are describing.

Have you checked the voltage AT the compressor when operating? The 6 is the right size for that compressor.

Do you have a volt-ohm-meter and know how to check the compressor while operating to see what is causing it to drop out? You will have to have the power on, so the wiring is hot and you need to be very careful poking around so that you do not get bit or burn up something.

You've installed a hard start kit which includes the start capacitor.

If you did not replace your run capacitor, that's the problem.

It sounds like you have it narrowed down to electronics on the roof, but I had a similar problem with my coach when I first bought it. The front A/C would run for 10-15 seconds, then cut out. I looked at all of the obvious things, then finally took it into the Wildwood repair center.

They did some troubleshooting, then found the problem was with the thermostat sensor that is in the wall. Found out there was one in the wall, but the wiring went nowhere. The sensor that was wired to the unit was coiled up and shoved up inside the A/C unit. The cold air would blow for a bit, but directly on the sensor, and it would shut the unit off.

They had to run the sensor wires to the wall and do all that, and once they did, everything was fine.

Just thought I would throw this out there in case you extinguish all of your other options
