Anyone have a 2000 Endeavor 38' that can measure the the height of the mud flap. I think it's a 20" but want to make sure. And what would you recommend for an after market mud flap to protect a trailer towed 4-runner(not 4 down)?

LEN,
If no one else can help you, I can measure mine in the morning. I'm at work now.

OLYLEN.....Depending on what you want to spend, I made one for my previuos MH. I went to a truck store and bought three large mud flaps for about $11.00 each. I cut them to size and then ran a piece of angle iron across the top and a piece of flat steel across the bottom.

Remember that whatever you use to hang the mud flap that they are mounted wider on the frame and narrower on the flap or vice a versa. If the bracketsor chain are parallel to each other, the mudflap will rock from side to side.

Dreamer, thanks I could use the measurement, the more I look I think it maybe the 16". And I will hang the flap narrower. And does anyone have a comment on the solid or the hairy kind?

OLYLEN,
Welcome aboard!
I am sorry I have not yet welcomed you to iRV2 and the "Monaco Owners Forum" ...so WELCOME to iRV2!!
As you are finding out.. the people here happen to be the friendliest & most helpful group of RVers anywhere on the web!

Dreamer will probably post tomorrow when he gets a chance...since he looks like your best chance for getting the correct measurement.

I do want to extend the invitation to BOTH you and DREAMER to join our Monaco group by asking for "Monaco Karma". I'm not even going to ask for a "Happy happy Dance" from either of you!

Again...welcome to iRV2! Please feel free to hang out with us..we are a fun group of RVers!

LEN,

The mudflap measures 13 3/4". It probably began life as 14" with about 1/4" being ground off over time. Good luck with your new flap.

Oh, Mama, please sign me up for some of that karma! Thanks.

dreamer.
