I just completed the repair on my door hinges. Took less than an hour to complete. I ended up using the 3/16 pop rivet backing washers like "ahicks" mentioned. Purchased them at Lowes. I just removed the 3 screws from the door only and there was no backing plate there.
Do not remove the screws from the door jam area. I did the bottom hinge first and then the top 2 hinges without removing the door. I just latched it in the full open position and closed the screen door. After the 3 screws are removed you can easily pull the door out far enough and block it to pull the pin up. No cutting or grinding required. I did not completely remove the pin, I pulled it up just far enough to add the washers. I only added 1 washer to each hinge in the area shown in the photo. In this position it raises the screen door and the entry door. You could see this is where the wear occured. It worked out perfectly and the door works much better now
