Are you saying you want to do something to the existing floor or tear it out and replace it with something else? We have a 2003 Holiday Rambler Imperial but still have the origional carpet in the dining area & ceramic tile at the sink & cabinet area. We are very interested in what you guys are planning to do. Have you had your Rambler very long? Feel free to contact us at our e-mail address if you have other questions.

Hi gang....we have a 38ft '01 HR Endeavor. The tile that ran from the kitchen to the rear bedroom had some issues so we had it removed and replaced with a laminate wood floor.

Wow...what a difference. The floor is beautiful and the installer indicated that the previous tile layers (it wasn't the OEM) did not properly prepare the wood underneath, thus the buckling and loose tile.

Since this was nearly 2/3 of coach the overall cost was $1,500 down here in San Antonio. We felt it was very fair due to the amount of wood cutting that had to be done to floor around the bathroom/shower area as well as underneath the slide in the kitchen.

Hey Spurs, that don't sound like a bad price to me either. I bet it looks a lot better. glad you guys have found something that makes you feel better about your home. We still have our old tile. It has 3 or 4 minor stress cracks but seems that it will be OK from here on out..... Knock on wood. Our carpet is looking a little worn in the center asile however but still very presentable. Previous owners took very good care of the place which is why we chose this one of course. We have ordered a nice oval rug from Lowes that goes nice in here. We think it will cover/preserve the carpet and add a more homey feel. How long have you guys had your's, are you full timers too?

Any ideas on how to prevent the water line/hose coming in from the camp sites from freezing?

We are new to the RV living thing and really love it. We bought our 2003 HR Imperial October 31, 2010.

Best of Luck,

mike & Judy

Hi Mike & Judy,
Welcome!! We had worn carpet in the front 1/3 that we just pulled out and put in wood "Bamboo".. looks awesome! Wasn't too bad?? We pulled the seats, couch, desk up and stacked in the kitchen (Ceramic tile). Made it much easier to do... just take your time and be sure of where to start, etc. Also did entry steps/walls... looks really nice when you enter!
