Hi RVers,
I've found a 2007 40" Holiday Rambler Ambassador that I may be interested in buying. My concern is that the Floorplan is a little unusual. It has the Kitchen and Booth Dinette immediately behind the Driver's and Passenger's chairs. Then a Roadside Sofa and a Curbside Love Seat, with a 32" TV mounted on the Roadside Bulkhead. My wife likes the arrangement, and if she likes it, I can live with it, even though it would definitely not be my first choice. My greatest fear is that this is not a popular Floor Plan and may be difficult to re-sell. I need your opinions desperately !
Thanks,
Michguy

Are you buying it to resell it or buying it to enjoy it? These things are not good investments, so get what makes you both happy.

Buy the floor plan to enjoy and that fits your needs.

front kitchens have been getting more and more popular lately with many manufacturers .my only concern would be added weight to the many times overloaded front axle and tires.Personaly i like them...seems to position the TV for better viewing among other things

Hey Michguy,

It is not a popular model and, as you say, will be the devil to sell cheap.
Check other more conventional models that give you more useable space and roomier feeling.
Just for fun, check out a 2007 bounder 35E and see what you think of the floor plan. If you and wife like then look for similar floor plans in Holiday Rambler's models.
We love our 2008 Bounder 35E and factory ordered it with the options we wanted.
Just my two cents and worth every penny.

Steve

The front kitchen is a model in just about every manufacturer's lineup. For me, I like the floor plan. To each his own, but I think there are enough people out there that like it too.

I like front kitchen floor plan, and look at this way. If the floor plan didn't sell, you couldn't find it in current model year offerings. Check out the various manufacturers, lots of front kitchens out there.

Just a (very selfish) point of view. If the wife likes it, I'd say it's good to go Happy honey begets happy honey.....

This is my favorite floorplan! The kitchen is close to the door for easy food travel from grill to kitchen table, or from kitchen to picnic table. Cold drinks are super easy access for the cockpit. The TV is not in the traffic pattern. I have one like this and would purchase another when I'm ready for a change. I also agree with Ken and John, enjoy life while you can, and let the future worry about itself. RVs aren't investments, they are a lifestyle IMHO. A wonderful, exciting, and entertaining lifestyle! Best wishes to you! - Lori

I was looking to buy a Monaco DP for months then my wife found the Pace Arrow which was the very first one she looked at and decided that was what she wanted, like you said "I can live with it".
