We own a '93 Dynasty whose horn button on the steering wheel needs some attention. I am guessing the hair ribbon that was pulled from the underside of the steering wheel (one end was sticking out) has bent a spring-steel contact, BUT I cannot see how to pull the horn button to examine the mechanism under it. If anyone has pulled their steering wheel, the horn button would likely have been removed first. Can anyone help me get to the horn contacts under the horn button?

If your steering wheel is like mine use a small screwwdriver and carefully pry the rubber center away from the edges. Even though it looks like the whole center (including the metal part) should pop off it doesn't work that way.

I just repaired my horn, 2008 Hurricane = ford chassis, and the underside of the steering wheel has 2 plugs to remove, then 2 screws to release the horn button. I clipped a wire onto a bolt of the column, and unplugged the leads coming from the horn. One side ( plug forward to horns )it honked. therefore problem is behind plug to horn button. Found a loose wire, fixed it and now I got a honker.
