This hose has a small leak. Probably no more than a few drops in a couple of weeks. I believe it comes from the tranny and goes into the cooler.
The hose is wet in the middle because that is the low spot.
When I was researching the Signature before buying, I looked up the factory recall list. There was something mentioned about improperly crimped hose connections on the transmission lines or something like that.
I haven't tried yet to tighten the fitting but was wondering if anyone else has had the problem.
Thanks, Iver

Just checking this hose again. It is leaking around that yellow band.
Not leaking at the connection joint.
It is definitely leaking hydraulic fluid. The hose originates at a tee fitting from a hose which comes from a pump on the lower curbside front of the engine.
I would like to replace the hose but I don't know what to expect when removing it. As you can see one end is connected to a cooler in front of the radiator.
Any thoughts, Anyone??
thanks, Iver.

That is a very sharp bend for a high pressure hydraulic hose. Looks like it is putting pressure on the hose connection. Should be easy to remove as I can see the one end is a swivel and maybe the other end as well. BUT you might want to have an angle fitting to relieve that pressure. Any decent hydraulic hose shop can make you a new hose.

That looks like a push on AN fitting. You can get the fittings and hose at Jegs or summit racing.com if you can't find a hydraulic supplier

Paul, that is not any type of push on AN fitting I have seen in the racing world. I have the same type of fittings on my MH also and I don't recognize them. I agree with Moisheh and remove that hose and take it into a hydraulic shop and get a new one made. You are going to loose a little fluid out of the radiator and maybe some out of the tranny so have something ready to plug the holes. Hopefully you have Dexron in the tranny. Maybe a good time to switch to Transynd. You cannot afford for that hose to blow because you will come to a stop real fast

Topman, they sell the brass or PVC Plugs at most auto parts or the big box stores, I agree with Gunner, it will gavity flow when you remove the hose. Also looking at the pic you posted. Is the blue part the actual hose or is that a slip on cover for the hose, not that it really matters, just curious. The yellow ring looks very narrow for a crimp band. Also like said above, maybe a little longer hose will lesson the strain. Some NAPA stores can also make up new hoses to. Keep us posted.

AN to AN low pressure hose I'm guessing.

you may try a clamp on the hose. Due to the angle the hose is on, that angle is probably making the push fit of the fitting to the hose seep. If you are for sure it is a hose to fitting leak, a new fitting is not going to help(unless it is cracked) a new hose will be required if having a new assembly made up

That's probably an original hose to the coach and at that age I would replace it. I would have it made a little longer like others have stated. You can get little plastic push on caps at a parts store to cover the fittings to retain your oil. Depending on when last done it may be a good time to change oil.

Paul, I see the yellow band making them appear the same but I don't believe that they would use push on fittings on that hose. I believe it to be swaged on. Then again I maybe totaly wrong

I'm thinking that hose has been repaired or replaced before. Just doesn't look right.

For sure it is not original. An angled fitting or a longer hose would help to take the strain off the fitting.
