I may be the only one that has this problem but thought I'd get it out in case someone else sees it. This is on a Monaco Executive 2001 model with the ISM 500 Cummins. Six months or so ago I replaced my CB and noticed when I accidently touch one of the wires to the case of the TripTek I got a spark. They are mounted next to each other under the dash. I thought it odd at the time that the case of the TripTek would be hot but since it was working ok thought I'd come back later and check it out. Well I forgot about it, didn't get around to it. Sometime later I reset all the resetables on the TripTek. It would never work after I did that. I could get the coach info but anything I had reset wouldn't work. I ordered a new Trip Tek last week and did all the conversions of the plug, since I received a newer model, plugged everything in after checking with Janard at TripTek to make sure I had done all the connectors correct. When I plugged the camera in the unit smoked. With Janard on the phone we checked everything and I discovered the ground wire that was on the case of the old TripTek and that I had attached to the case of the new TripTek was hot. It had 12v on it. I've ordered another TripTek and the solution for me will be to not connect the hot ground, I'll isolate it and the TripTek has ground so it doesn't need a frame ground. For what it's worth.
