I re-read my last post, (shoulda done that several times to begin with) .... the over voltage I was referring to happens if you disconnect the battery from a running alternator, which I don't believe is what you meant. My bad, disregard

Not sure but you could check your starting boost solenoid if the contacts are welded that might be sending power cro. Yljr chasis bateries fo the house batteries

Disconnect switch issue

Thanks again to all who have helped. I think my problem may have something to do with my salesman switch. It doesn't do anything when I push it. I don't have a clue how it is supposed to work or what it actually does. Does it have a solenoid it actuates, if so where is it so I can try and test it. Not sure what the large solenoid between my house batteries and chassis battery does either I suspect that is the booster for starting the engine when I push the dash button for starter boost. Also, when I disconnect the neg cables from the house batteries it cut all power but with the switch off and I reconnect the cables there is small spark and I hear a clicking noise somewhere up front and that is why I suspect the salesman switch. Is there a way of testing the salesman circuit?
