How do you do it

My coach has a fuel filter (2004 Safari) that is mounted above the started and mounts to the engine. It is nearly impossible to get to it and turn it off and on. Is there a special filter wrench that you use or a special technique. I want to be able to change this filter on the road if I have to. This is a ISC 8.3 350hp.
Need some insite on how to do this.
Thanks

If you're worried about fuel dripping onto the starter, a plastic bag laid across it can act as a shield. I don't know what clearance or access issues you have, but a strap wrench can perhaps get it started to remove it. If there's access to the bottom, a filter wrench might fit. If all else fails, I've driven a screwdriver into a stuck filter and levered it loose.
