How do you get these airlines off the mac valve?

Trying to replace a leaky mac valve. How do you get the 1/4" quick connect to unlock it's death grip on the plastic tubing? It looks like the collar on the connection moves a little. Do you have to pull up on the collar while pushing in on the tubing?
Do they make a tool to unlock them?

thanks
Jeff

when i fight with them yes i push in on the tubing why all so pushing on the tab

if it comes to it i cut the tube with 1/2 of a inc sticking out and fold the tube in on its self .. but that only works if your plug dos not have the still tube part inside it

most of the time i just get new ends i keep a been of new and used ones with me at all times now

To release the airline from a NITRA push to connect fitting, hold the end ring down towards the fitting body and pull on the plastic air line. If you let the airline pull the ring out it will capture the airline again.

I deal with these on a daily basis and the easiest way I've found is to adjust a Cresent wrench so it just allows the tube to slide between the jaws, push the collar into the fitting as far as it will go with the wrench and pull out the tubing. Should come right out. Sometimes they can get really be hung up on the jaws that hold them. If that is the case when you do finally get it loose (pull hard) cut about 1/4" off the tube before you insert it back into the push lock fitting.
