How Does This TV Come Out?
Ok. I've searched the forums and still haven't found the answer. So, exactly how does one remove the front TV on a 2005 Diplomat?
I've removed the four front facia screws and nothing budges. There's what appears to be a moveable or swing out bracket on each side of the metal frame that doesn't move. Bolts need to be loosened? Is it attached somewhere else?
Any helpfull advice appreciated. Pictures would be REALLY nice.
Thanks.

My Windsor had screws up through the bottom of the cabinet with the holes covered by the little wooden plugs.

If you have cabinets on the sides look in there for screws also.

I am not sure my 06 is the same as your 05 but this is what it took in mine. First remove the 4 screws that are behind the plugs in the front of the fascia. Then there were 2 screws that went into the fascia from inside the box that the TV is in. I had a flat screen and I had to remove the vent in the back (windshield side) then the screws where under the lower edge of the TV. You will need a long screw driver to reach them. Once the fascia is removed you can remove the brackets holding the TV. If you provide pictures of your setup you should get more help.

It looks to me like the TV is bolted to the steel tube frame or the flat steel and then held in place with those adjustable brackets. Never underestimate the great ways these guys build something Good Luck!

Finally got it and for all of you sitting on the edge of your seat for the answer, here it is.
1. Remove four front screws behind the wooden buttons on the facia and wiggle it out. Mine was stuck in with seam sealer.
2. From the back, after removing the louvers, using a 9/16 wrench, loosen the all the nuts on the metal slide out thingy on each side. This will allow you to tilt the tv out at the top providing access to the rest of the fasteners.
3. Remove all the fasteners holding the metal frame to the RV. Two screws on each side, two at the top of the frame and two way up in the corners.
4. The TV will now come out with the metal frame still attached. Call a friend, it's too heavy for one person.
5. A 32" flat screen fits just about perfectly in the existing cabinet using a mount I fabed out of oak furring strips. Leaves a gap at the bottom of about 4 inches which I'll fill with speaker grill material since all flat screens have the speakers on the bottom instead of the front. Should work.
Not done yet but seeing light at the end of this tunnel. LED flat screen weighs only 10 or 15 lbs. compared to 60 for the old tv.

I knew you could do it. Amazing how much more TV you can stuff into the same spot. I replace a 42" with 49" LED.
