Might well depend on which city! Some cities have rather acidic water (experience here) and others have really good water. Regardless I might drain my heater once a year on the Ambassador, and in the fall on the Winnebago so it is dry in the winter.

I drain the water heater and fresh water tank at once a year.

Yeah just between uses just didn't want the old sulfur smell if left in to long
